Myne, founder of dessert shop Whisk, dies aged 33

Fainan Hassan (Myne), the founder of popular online dessert shop Whisk, has died at the age of 33.

She died on Thursday morning.

Her funeral is scheduled to be held at the Hulhumale’ Cemetery after Fajr prayer on Friday.

Myne ventured into the business arena by selling brownies online – turning her hobby for baking into a profitable business. Following the success of the venture, she later opened a café in Male’ City.

Her business, Whisk, recently conducted baking classes for children, teaching them to make and decorate cookies, cupcakes, muffins and brownies.

She frequently participated in various festivals and events for small business at the SME Hub, and in Male’ and Hulhumale’.
