1,600-kilowatt genset to resolve Addu City’s power issue

Fenaka Corporation states efforts are underway to send a 1,600-kilowatt genset to Addu City in order to resolve the power issue currently faced in the city.

Via a post on X, Fenaka, which provides electricity in Addu City, said they were undertaking efforts to transport a 1,600-kilowatt genset to Addu City to resolve power issued currently faced in the city.

Prior to this, Fenaka’s Managing Director Muaz Mohamed Rasheed said the company provides electricity in Addu City with significant difficulties. Nevertheless, he stressed that the company’s management was undertaking various efforts to improve Addu City’s electricity service.

Muaz said electricity is currently being provided in Addu City using approximately 18 generators as some of the generators utilized in the provision of the service are broken due to failure to properly maintain them.

Main opposition MDP has submitted an emergency motion to the parliament over the continuous power outages in Addu City hindering the lives of its residents greatly.
