Maldivian high commissioner presents credentials to Singaporean president

Maldivian High Commissioner to Singapore, Mohamed Luveiz has presented his credentials to Singapore’s President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

The presentation of credentials took place in a ceremony held at Istana, the Presidential Palace of Singapore, on Tuesday.

During the meeting that followed the ceremony, Luveiz conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, to Shanmugartnam for his good health and happiness, as well as for peace, prosperity and happiness of the people of Singapore.

Shanmugaratnam congratulated Luveiz on his appointment, and assured him of the full support and cooperation of the Singaporean government in discharging his responsibilities in his capacity as the High Commissioner of Maldives to Singapore.

Luveiz conveyed his gratitude to the people and government of Singapore for their support to the Maldives, as the two countries continue to strengthen the long-standing friendly relations between both countries.

Luveiz was appointed as the Maldivian High Commissioner to Singapore on May 7.

He was accompanied in Tuesday’s ceremony by his spouse, Khadheeja Mufliha, as well as Second Secretaries at the Maldivian High Commission in Singapore, Abdulla Aruham and Jalala Saleem.
