Bridge worker injured after being hit by motorcycle

A worker on Sinamale’ Bridge has been injured after getting hit by a motorcycle.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:30pm Thursday night, when the motorcycle being driven from Male’ to Hulhumale’ side hit the worker.

Police identified those injured in the accident as a 30-year-old Bangladeshi man, a bridge worker, and a 49-year-old man who drove the motorcycle.

They did not disclose the extent of the injuries sustained by the two men. However, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has confirmed they are both being treated at the hospital.

Police confirmed that the driver of the motorcycle held a valid license.
