Inner-Male’ bus service to pause between 18:00-21:00 hours

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced changes to its Raajje Transport Link (RTL) bus route in Male’ City, including pausing the bus service between 06:00 pm and 09:00 pm.

According to the schedule released by MTCC, the RTL bus service will begin in Ramadan at 06:00 am. The service will be suspended for three hours stating from 06:00 pm, before resuming at 09:00 pm. The service will continue until 12:15 am.

MTCC has also announced changes to the bus route.

Addressing public concern over the changes, MTCC’s CEO Adam Azim said the company is not allowed to travel Majeedhee Magu before end of Tharaavees prayers, as there are three mosques on the street, and the street is expected to be blocked during the period.

The RTL buses operate from 05:45 am to 12:45 am in other months.
