Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has launched its Raajje Transport Link (RTL) bus service in Kulhudhuffushi City.
The service was inaugurated by MTCC’s CEO Adam Azim and Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi in a ceremony in the northern city on Wednesday night.
MTCC said the bus service will undergo a trial period starting Thursday, during which customers can enjoy free travel – allowing them to experience and familiarize themselves with the service.
“We are committed to enhancing the service based on customer feedback. We wish the residents of Kulhuduhffushi city a very pleasant RTL journey,” said the company.
Once the trial period ends, customers can visit RTL’s website or mobile app to purchase QR tickets.
The service will continue to be free for children under the age of 3 years, school students, people with disabilities, and adults above the age of 65 years.
MTCC also provides its RTL bus service in Male’ and Addu, and has linked northern and southern atolls with its RTL ferry service.
