The council had begun renovation of multiple mosques in Male’ City, Hulhumale’ Phase I and Vilimale’ three months back.

Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said the work will be done by upcoming Ramadan.

“We are doing different renovations in different mosques. Big and small. But all the major renovations are nearly done. The remaining works will also be done by Ramadan,” he said.

Muizzu said that the renovation of Masjid Al-Birri in Vilimale’, which had been an issue of major public concern, was now complete. He said the mosque will be ready for Ramadan.
