One injured in fire at Male’ workshop

A fire broke out in a workshop in Male’ City on Wednesday, resulting in injuries to a young man.

According to police, the fire in the workshop, located on Raiyvilla Magu, was reported to police at 08:46 pm.

The fire was been put out, said the police.

Police said the fire resulted in injuries to a Maldivian male.

He was taken to the ADK Hospital.

ADK Hospital’s managing director Ahmed Afaal confirmed to Sun that a 25-year-old male was brought in with burn injuries.

He is being treated at the hospital’s ER.

The extent of his injuries is unclear at this point.

Police said they are looking into the fire.
