Siyam: People are working on straying children and youths from Islam

Underscoring that some groups of people are trying to stray Maldivian children and youths from the Islamic religion – President of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) and the Parliament representative of Dh. Meedhoo constituency MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed has stressed on the importance of combatting this propaganda.

In a message on the occasion of the Day Maldives Embraced Islamic on Wednesday, Siyam conveyed greetings to all Maldivian citizens and MDA members.

His message stated that there are groups of people unwilling to comprehend that Maldives remains a hundred percent Muslim nation despite the changes seen across the world.

“Some people are advocating propaganda to stray this country’s children and youths from the Islamic religion. Therewith, I advise all citizens to combat these propaganda,” he had said.

Further in his message, Siyam said that the Islamic religion is the biggest, most complete, blessing that the Maldivians have received. He stressed the importance of remembering the figures that contributed to ensuring the lasting of this blessing including the Muslim from Maghrib (Morcco), Abul Barakat Yoosuf al Barbary, that helped convert Maldives to Islamic.

Siyam also stressed that the Islamic religion is the basis of Maldives’ nationality, independence, and solidarity.

Therewith, he said the biggest responsibility of Maldivians should be to uphold the Islamic religion and rid of the anti-Islamic propaganda, and views from the nation.
