Siyam urges participation of people of all walks of life in Eid celebrations

Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, the president of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), urged authorities on Thursday to involve people of all walks of life in Eid al-Adha celebrations.

In an address on Thursday, Siyam, the parliamentary representative for Dh. Meedhoo constituency, conveyed Eid greetings to the entire Muslim ummah.

Noting that Eid al-Adha is a celebration of the holy hajj pilgrimage, he highlighted on the importance of learning from the lessons the hajj teaches.

He prayed that all pilgrims achieve hajj mabroor.

Noting that Islam is a religion that encourages unity, inclusivity and fairness in all things, Siyam urged everyone to adhere to these principles in their daily life.

Siyam also urged everyone to adhere to Islamic principles and community standards when celebrating Eid.

He also urged the participation of people of all walks of life in Eid celebrations.

In his address, Siyam said that Eid provides a special opportunity to prioritize kindness and compassion, and urged everyone to make full use of the opportunity.

He ended his address with prayers for blessings and prosperity to Maldivians and the entire Muslim ummah.
