Chief magistrates appointed to three constituencies

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed chief magistrates to three judiciary constituencies.

The appointees were presented their letter of appointment at a special ceremony held at JSC today, by JSC’s President Hisaan Husain.

The three newly appointed chief magistrates are Ahmed Adam, Karankaage, HA. Utheemu as the Chief Magistrate of Haa Alifu Constituency; Ahmed Shareef, Vanillage, V. Fulidhoo as the Chief Magistrate of Vaavu Atoll Constituency and Abdul Razzaq Mohamed, Dhilbahaaruge, GDh. Thinadhoo as Chief magistrate of Gaafu Dhaalu Constituency.

Ahmed Adam holds a Bachelor of Sharia and Law (Honors) from Villa College. He has been serving as a judge for 19 years.

Ahmed Shareef holds Bachelor of Sharia and Law (Honors) and Masters of Sharia and Law from Villa College. He has been serving as a judge for 28 years.

Abdul Razzaq Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Sharia and Law (Honors) from Villa College. He has been serving as a judge for 19 years.
