Man receives life sentence over heroin found on farm

A man from the island of Gadhdhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu atoll has received the life sentence for trafficking diamorphine or heroin. According to the police, Ali Shazeen, 37, Nooreege, GDh. Gadhdhoo, was convicted of trafficking under Article 105 of the Drugs Act by the Gadhdhoo Magistrate Court on Sunday. Shazeen was arrested following a police raid on Gan, a large uninhabited island
