Maldives signs MOU with Emirates to promote tourism

Maldives has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Emirates to promote the island nation as a tourist destination and boost arrivals from key markets across the airline’s network. 

The MOU between the Maldivian Tourism Ministry, Visit Maldives and Emirates was signed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Monday.

The signing was witnessed by Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, who is on an official visit to UAE. 

According to Visit Maldives, the MOU pertains to cooperation in Emirate’s operations between Maldives and Dubai for public travel benefits, promotion of Maldives’ tourism and development of traffic into Maldives from key markets across Emirates’ network.
