Customs destroys 11,100 liters of alcohol under its custody

Maldives Customs Services has destroyed a large number of alcohol kegs under its custody.

The items were destroyed on July 29 at Thilafushi in the presence of Customs Officers and media personnel.

Customs specified the destroyed items as 370 alcohol kegs containing 11,100 liters of alcohol.

Customs stated that the items were destroyed under the policy to destroy items confiscated and stored at bonded warehouses that deteriorate - or are being destroyed for any other reasons.
