MTCC begins work on Meedhoo coastal protection project, Hulhumeedhoo MIFCO harbor project

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) commenced physical work on two projects in Addu City on Saturday – the coastal protectional project in Meedhoo district and the Maldives Inland Fisheries Company (MIFCO) harbor development project in Hulhumeedhoo district.

The commencement of the physical work on the Meedhoo coastal protection project was marked in a ceremony on Saturday morning attended by S. Meedhoo MP Rozaina Adam, State Minister for Planning Shifaz Ali, MTCC’s CEO Adam Azim, Maldives Ports Limited (MPL)’s CEO Shahid Ali.

The project, contracted to MTCC by Planning Ministry, is valued at MVR 80.5 million.

MTCC also marked the commencement of physical work on the first phase of the MIFCO harbor development project in Hulhumeedhoo on Saturday.

The ceremony was attended by Hulhudhoo MP Ilyas Labeeb, Meedhoo MP Rozaina Adam, MIFCO’s Managing Director Ismail Fauzi, State Minister for Planning Shifaz Ali, MTCC’s CEO Adam Azim, Maldives Ports Limited (MPL)’s CEO Shahid Ali, Addu City Mayor, and other State officials.

The project, contracted to MTCC by Planning Ministry, is valued at MVR 80.68 million.
