COVID-19: 77-year old passes away, 46th death in Maldives

A 77-year old has passed away due to COVID-19 in the Maldives, making it the 46th death related to the virus in the nation. 

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that the individual was a local male admitted at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility. The time of death was recorded as 14:09. 

According to HPA statistics, Maldives has now confirmed a total of 12,578 cases since identifying the first case back in March. 11,559 individuals have also made full recoveries from the virus. Currently, there are 967 active cases of the virus in the nation.
