National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has stated that limited personal information related to a missing migrant worker who had tested positive for COVID-19 will be publicized upon a Police request.
The migrant worker, a Bangladeshi national was one of the initial seven who went missing after testing positive for the virus. Six of the missing individuals were later located by Police.
Speaking in a press conference tonight, NEOC spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez stated that the individual was still missing.
“The HPA team is saying that, when Police inform that the individual has not been found and that it is imperative that the personal information related to the individual is released, only then it will be released. It has not been done yet.” Said Mabrouq.
Four of the missing migrants had been living in congested living quarters, while the other three were living in different addresses, authorities had said when they initially announced the missing individuals.
