Escaped convict captured in Hulhumale'

A convict that escaped from custody after being taken to IGMH has been recaptured.

The convict named as Aisaru Naseem (24 years) was recaptured in Hulhumale’ by Police after escaping in the morning. He was captured around 14:10 today.

He was serving time for drug related offenses when he escaped today.

Maldives Corrections thanked the assistance of Police in Aisaru's recapture and stated that it was investigating how he had escaped.
