MVR 300,000 stolen during Isha prayer hours

MVR 300,000 has been stolen from a house in Th. Villifushi last Thursday during the prayer hours of Isha and Taraweeh prayer.

The theft was reported to Maldives Police Service at approximately 8:40 pm, Thursday night.

Police stated that the owner of the house reported the theft of MVR 300,000 from the house between 7:30 pm and 8:55 pm.

They also noted that the money was stolen after breaking the closet in the house.

Maldives Police Service is conducting further investigations on the case.

A total of 1,403 cases of theft has been reported to the Police up until this time of the year with 110 cases of them being reported this month.
