Speeding cycle crashes into breakwater on Hulhumale’ highway

A speeding motorcycle headed to Hulhumale’ from Hulhule’ on the highway veered off the road and crashed into the breakwater in a dangerous accident this Saturday afternoon.

Maldives Police Service reports the accident took place at approximately 2:15 pm.

The accident resulted in injuries to the motorcyclist, who has been taken to the Hulhumale’ Hospital.

Hulhumale’ Hospital reports the motorcyclist, identified as a 21-year-old man from Fuvahmulah City, was brought in to the hospital at approximately 2:50 pm.

The man sustained head injuries and is receiving treatment at the ER.
