Met Office warns of possible flooding from swells during high tide

Maldives Meteorological Service has warned of tidal swells which could result in flooding in some islands in Central and Southern Maldives during high tide this Sunday.

MMS forecasts moderate/rough seas in Maldives for the next 24 hours from 10 am this Sunday.

HIGH TIDE ON DECEMBER 23, 2018:

Northern Maldives: 11:04

Central Maldives: 12:47

Southern Maldives: 13:49

MMS says the overall weather condition in Maldives will be favorable despite the warning for tidal swells.
