India pledges ‘full support’ for First 100-Day Agenda

Indian Ambassador to Maldives has provided assurance the Indian government will offer its full support and cooperation to help the new Maldivian administration achieve its agenda for the first 100 days in office.

Ambassador Akhilesh Mishra and his spouse Reeti Mishra paid a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih last Monday.

During the meeting, Mishra noted that the First 100-Day Agenda was the ideal platform for Maldives and India to further their bilateral ties and assured Solih of India’s full support and cooperation in achieving the administration’s goals, reports President’s Office.

The President’s Office reports Solih and Mishra both emphasized the long standing bilateral ties between the two countries and strengthening ties in health, education, technology, youth and women empowerment, sports cooperation, housing and infrastructure development, and water and sewerage services.

Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer has confirmed Maldives and India discussed opening a credit line of USD 1 billion through Exim Bank of India to fund Maldivian government projects during high-level discussions in India last week.
