Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has paid a call on Indian President Ram Nath Kovind.
Shahid, who is on an official visit to India, called on President Kovind at his official residence, Rashtrapati Bhavan, this Tuesday morning.

Following the meeting, Indian President’s Office tweeted that Kovind reiterated the India’s support for the socio-economic development of Maldives. And pledged to work with the Maldivian government on its identified priorities.
Shahid met his Indian counterpart, Indian Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj last Monday, for what has been described as “a warm and productive meeting on deepening bilateral cooperation and to ensure peace and security in the region” by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
