Groundbreaking ceremony held for IUM complex

The groundbreaking ceremony has been held for the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) Sanaabil Office Complex being built in Hulhumale' plot no. 11528. 

At the ceremony today, the seven story building project was inaugurated by the Chancellor of IUM, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and the Vice Chancellor, Ali Rasheed along with the Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Mohamed Simon and the Dean of IUM's Center for Post Graduate Studies, Dr. Ibrahim Zakariyya Moosa.

The seven story multi-purpose building is designed to in the style of Islamic architecture which would include a seminar room and a hall beside the office space. 

It is a building dedicated to fund the university. The building project is funded by the development fund.
