Deep sorrow as little Zeeva passes away, leaving lasting memories

Full of smiles, active, and a lover of learning, Zeeva Sinaan Ahmed passed away this morning, bringing sudden shock and deep sorrow to the entire Billabong High International School community and everyone who knew her.

Zeeva passed away early this morning after being treated for serious injuries sustained in an accident last Saturday.

In a statement of condolence, Billabong School said Zeeva had been part of the school family since grade one, building many valuable memories over the years.

She was a gifted student who maintained a strong interest in her studies and consistently achieved results the school was proud of.

The school described Zeeva as someone who greeted everyone with a beautiful smile, kind and friendly in nature, and said her “smile and laughter will always echo in the halls of the school.”

The school prayed for patience and strength for Zeeva’s family and friends during this difficult time, and for her to be blessed with heaven.

With Zeeva’s passing, many people on social media are praying for her and sharing memories of her. In a Facebook post, well‑known speech coach Fathimath Afiya said Zeeva had participated in a public speaking program she conducted a few months ago.

Afiya noted that Zeeva was very active, talkative and cheerful. From the first day, she developed a special bond with Zeeva, who openly shared her love for her father and his sacrifices for her.

Afiya said she was shocked to learn of Zeeva’s passing, and that having her work showcased alongside Zeeva’s had been a blessing.

In her short life, Zeeva made a special place in the hearts of many around her. Though she has passed away, the sweet memories and innocent smile she leaves behind will live on in the hearts of her friends, teachers and family.
