Young boy dies in buggy accident in Hangnameedhoo

A young boy died in ADh. Hangnameedhoo on Friday, in a tragic accident involving a buggy car.

Hangnameedhoo councilwoman Aminath Ramza confirmed to Sun that the fatal accident took place on Friday.

However, she declined to disclose any details.

Sun has learnt the identity of the victim as Anas Bin Mohamed Areesh, 13, Daisy Villa, ADh. Hangnameedhoo.

According to local sources, Anas got on a buggy car that was left with the keys on at the island’s harbor. However, he lost control of the vehicle, and drove it into the lagoon.

He died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

His body was laid to rest after a funeral on Friday night.
