Police arrest 25-year-old with 24 bottles of liquor under the bridge linking Hulhumale' districts

A young man was arrested in Hulhumale’ on Thursday with a total of 24 bottles of liquor.

Amaan Ibrahim, 25, of Hiyaa 4‑18‑15, Hulhumale’, was arrested. He is charged with possession and trafficking in alcohol.

He was arrested in a special operation conducted by the Hulhumale’ Police Special Enforcement on Thursday under the WAMCO bridge connecting the two phases of Hulhumale’.

He was produced before the court for a decision on his remand and was ordered to be remanded in custody for 15 days.

Police are investigating the incident.

Like Male’ City, the number of youths arrested with drugs in Hulhumale’ has been increasing recently.
