Registration has opened for members of the public who wish to meet President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The President’s Office said on Monday that the public can now take part in Rayyithunge Adu, the President’s new direct-engagement initiative.

The first session, selected from the nation’s 93 electoral constituencies, is open to residents of Hulhumale' North, Hulhumale' Central, Addu-Hulhudhoo, and Hoarafushi constituencies.

The opportunity to submit nominations through a dedicated portal will remain open until 12 am on Wednesday.

According to the guidelines, meetings will be held at the President’s Office unless otherwise announced. The order of participants, as well as the number and timing of meetings, will be determined by the Office of the President.

Those wishing to participate may choose whether or not to disclose their discussion topic in advance. Participants may raise personal issues, constituency concerns, or matters of public interest. Each participant will be given a maximum of 10 minutes to speak. Self-recording during the meeting is prohibited.

On June 25, the President announced that he would soon launch a programme allowing individuals to meet him directly across various fields. Last year, the President visited islands nationwide and met with island councils, and also met with residents of different neighbourhoods in Male' City.
