140 police officers have graduated from the 42nd Basic Training Course conducted at the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement in Addu City.
A total of 158 officers enrolled in the training course, which began on February 15. Of these, 140 officers successfully completed the four-month program, including 104 male officers and 36 female officers.
The graduation ceremony was officiated by Internal Security, Labour and Skills Minister Ali Ihusaan. Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, senior police officers, and families of the graduates attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, outstanding students in various subjects and overall performance were recognised with awards and certificates. Constable Ibrahim Irfaah was named the Best All-Round Student of the course and received the Commissioner’s Excellence Award. Constable Raakin Ahmed was selected as the Best Student in Indoor Subjects, while Constable Hussain Rifshan Ali was named the Best Student in Outdoor Subjects.

The Ainella Squad was recognised as the Best Squad of the course. Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed presented the shield to the squad.
The Police Basic Training Course is designed to equip newly recruited officers with legal knowledge, technical skills, and standards of respect for human rights. Officers who complete the course will now begin service across the country to ensure the safety and security of the public.
