Hoarafushi man remanded for allegedly assaulting and threatening his mother

A man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother.

The suspect, identified as Mohamed Sunah of Kotharivila, H.A. Hoarafushi, was taken into custody, produced before court, and remanded for 15 days.

According to the arrest warrant, Sunah had been involved in a dispute with his mother and had allegedly threatened her. However, he denied hitting her.

Records show that Sunah had been wanted in a previous drug‑related case.
