Maldivian pilgrims will begin their journey to Mina tonight, with all arrangements now in place, Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said.
The movement to Mina will start at 9:30 pm Mecca time, while the journey to Arafat is scheduled for Monday evening. The minister also extended well‑wishes to all Maldivian pilgrims.
Shaheem said the Maldives Hajj Corporation is providing the highest level of service and assistance ever offered to Maldivian pilgrims. He added that preparations for both Mina and Arafat have been completed to a very high standard.
The Maldives Hajj Mission is closely monitoring all matters related to the pilgrims, and the Maldivian government will continue to provide close support throughout the pilgrimage, he said.
As in previous years, Maldives received 1,000 Hajj quotas, all managed by the state‑owned Maldives Hajj Corporation. This year’s pilgrimage is also being conducted under the Mecca Route Initiative.
