Missing 15-year-old girl found safe

A teenage girl who went missing after leaving her home in Hulhumale’ on Tuesday has been found safe.

Aishath Alya Ali, 15, was reported missing to the police on early Tuesday.

In a post on X on Wednesday the police announced that she has been found safe.

“Update: Alya has been found. She is safe,” announced the police.

It came an hour after the public posted a public announcement seeking aid in finding her.

The police said in an earlier statement that Alya was last seen leaving her apartment at the Hiyaa flats at around 04:15 pm on Tuesday, wearing a white striped crop top, light blue jeans, and a black shawl.

She was reported missing by her family after she failed to return home.
