Technical fault knocks out power in Maafannu

A “technical problem” has caused a power outage in parts of Maafannu, STELCO said on Saturday evening.

STELCO said in a post on social media that it is working to restore power to the affected areas.

Many towers in Hulhumale' Phase II also lost power at around 14:00 on Saturday after a main power cable was damaged during road‑digging work.

The problem was resolved and power was restored four hours later.
