The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has announced that its employees will work from home every Tuesday as part of a series of cost‑cutting measures introduced in response to the economic impact of the Middle East conflict.
In a statement issued Monday evening, the PGO said the measures will be in effect from Tuesday until May 31.
The changes include:
Employees working from home every Tuesday
Conducting formal meetings online
Reducing office opening hours and electricity consumption
Cutting down on paper use
Minimising the use of office vehicles
The PGO said staff will continue to attend court hearings and any in‑person meetings that cannot be conducted online or where virtual participation may affect the outcome.

The office also encouraged employees to work from home after 2:00 pm on regular office days and to expedite closing time to 6:00 pm.
As part of its broader policy to fully digitise operations and eliminate paper use, the PGO said additional steps will be taken to reduce paper consumption.
The office assured the public that the changes will not disrupt or delay services. It also encouraged citizens and agencies to use the PGO website to access services during this period.
