The latest seizure comes after Customs seized MVR 29 million worth of hashish oil in February, and MVR 30 million worth of hashish oil hidden inside chocolate syrup bottles in December.
Amendments to the Drug Act that took effect in March prescribe the death penalty for smuggling drugs into the Maldives.
