President and First Lady leave on umrah

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have departed for Saudi Arabia to perform umrah.

According to the President’s Office, the first couple left for Saudi Arabia on Monday morning.

The President’s Office states that all expenses of the travel are being covered by the Saudi government.

According to the President’s Office, the trip was arranged back in February.

President Muizzu and Sajidha had also traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform umrah at invitation from the Saudi government back in May 2024. They also performed hajj last year at the invitation of the Saudi Royal Court.
