President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday reaffirmed is administration’s commitment to creating opportunities that empower girls and equip them to become future leaders.
He reaffirmed this commitment in a special message he shared on X on occasion of International Day of the Girl Child.
In his message, President Muizzu said that the Maldives joins the international community in reaffirming its commitment to advancing and protecting the rights of girls around the globe.
“Our administration is committed to advancing policies and creating opportunities that empower girls and young women to realize their full potential, equip them to become future leaders, and enable them to contribute meaningfully to national development in a safe and supportive environment,” he said.
President Muizzu stressed that such aspirations require a whole-of-society approach, beginning with families and communities and extending to all relevant stakeholders.
“Investing in our daughters today is an investment in a more equitable, inclusive, and prosperous future for all,” he said.
