MIB outlines Ramadan operating schedule; most branches closed except on two MMA‑designated days

The Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has announced its customer service hours for the last ten days of Ramadan and for the sixth day of Shawwal.

According to MIB, Business Banking services will be available from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm from Monday until Eid. The cut‑off time for telegraphic transfers (TTs) at the Business Branch in Male' will be 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Following the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA)’s announcement, all banks, including MIB, will open on 11 March and 18 March during the last ten days of Ramadan.  

On these two days, MIB Business Branch will offer services from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, with TT cutoff from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

MIB also announced extended Business Banking hours from 23 to 26 March, during which services will be available from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. TT services will be processed between 9:30 am and 11:00 am.

All other MIB branches, except the Business Branch, will remain closed from Monday until Eid, except on 11 and 18 March. On those two days, customer service will be available from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. The same hours will apply on the sixth day of Shawwal.

MIB reminded customers that all its services are available online. Customers can open accounts digitally, register for internet banking, apply for TT services through FaisaMobile and FaisaNet, and access all other services through the Apply Now portal.
