Maldives condemns attacks by all parties and calls for urgent efforts to restore peace in the Middle East

The Government of Maldives has condemned the attacks carried out by all parties involved in the escalating conflict in the Middle East, calling for urgent efforts to restore peace and stability.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the government said it is deeply concerned about the rapid deterioration of the situation and is closely monitoring developments. The Foreign Ministry stressed that all parties must fully comply with international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

The statement reaffirmed that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states must be respected at all times.

The government noted that Maldives has consistently pursued a foreign policy centred on the peaceful resolution of disputes, and emphasised the importance of collective efforts to maintain regional and global peace.
