Two Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested by police in connection to a brawl that broke out between expatriate workers at the Central Park in Hulhumale’.
The two suspects – Mohamed Mosharof, 35, and Nayan Mia, 36 – were presented before the Criminal Court on Friday for their remand hearings.
The court decided there was sufficient evidence to support the allegation against them, and determined them to be a danger to society.
They were both remanded in custody of the police for seven days.
The court also instructed authorities to obtain a word from their sponsors.
At the hearing, the investigative officer told the court that two others suspected of involvement in the brawl had fled the scene.
