Ooredoo introduces special roaming data add‑ons for postpaid and prepaid customers traveling abroad

Ooredoo Maldives has introduced new roaming data add‑ons for postpaid and prepaid customers, designed to make staying connected abroad easier and more affordable.  

Customers can activate the service instantly through the Ooredoo app, choosing from a variety of roaming data plans including day passes, two‑week packs, and four‑week packs.  

Ooredoo said the new add‑ons allow travelers to select plans that match their travel duration and data needs, offering competitive prices and real‑time usage tracking for complete control over roaming.  

Postpaid roaming add‑ons (available in 35 countries)

• 4 GB for 4 weeks – MVR 375  

• 2 GB for 4 weeks – MVR 400  

• 2 GB for 2 weeks – MVR 200  

• 5 GB for 4 weeks – MVR 750  

• 1 GB Day Pass – MVR 99  

Prepaid roaming add‑ons (available in 13 countries)

• 2 GB for 2 weeks – MVR 250  

• 1 GB Day Pass – MVR 99  

Ooredoo noted that the add‑ons will enhance the travel experience for customers who want to explore new destinations, work remotely, share moments with family and friends, and stay connected using navigation and essential travel apps.  

The company emphasized that these roaming packs are expected to be popular among Maldivians traveling abroad, offering flexibility and convenience at competitive rates.
