Teen girl missing from Hulhumale’ since Friday

Maldives Police Service has launched a search for a 14-year-old girl reported missing from Hulhumale’ Phase II.

The Police identified the missing girl as Shiba Rasheed, 14, Six Sense, R. Dhuvaafaru.

According to the Police, Shiba was reported missing on Friday, with her family noting she was last seen leaving her house at approximately 5:55am that morning. 

The police, stating that they have notified the relevant authorities about the missing child’s report, confirmed that a search operation has been launched for her. However, they said their efforts to locate Shiba have so far been unsuccessful.

The police have urged anyone with information regarding Shiba to contact the Serious Crimes Investigation Department at 9113390 and share any relevant details.

People, including children, are often reported missing in the Maldives, but are soon located after the Police make public announcements seeking to locate them.
