This month, the spotlight shines on Dhon Hiyala, one of the most cherished heroines in Dhivehi literature.

Dhon Hiyala, the radiant Faiymini renowned for her extraordinary beauty, was hidden away by her parents on the island of Buruni. But fate had other plans. Ali Fulhu, a courageous young man from Hulhudheli, falls deeply in love with her. Against all odds and after many trials, the two are united in marriage. Their happiness, however, stirs the jealousy of a powerful King, setting the stage for a dramatic and timeless struggle for love, freedom, and destiny.

Inspired by this iconic tale, this month’s calendar experience immerses customers in Dhon Hiyala’s world like never before.

Launched at the start of the year, the Ooredoo Calendar 2025 features 12 legendary characters from Maldivian folklore, including celebrated figures from stories such as Foolhudhigu Handi and Safari Kaiydha.

But this is no ordinary calendar.

Each month unlocks a new AI-powered character, allowing customers to chat directly with these digital personalities through Ooredoo’s intelligent chatbot technology.

Through these conversations, characters recount their stories, answer questions, and share insights—bringing folklore to life in a fun, interactive, and deeply engaging way.
