 Two men from N. Velidhoo have been sentenced to life imprisonment for trafficking dimorphine, with one also convicted of trafficking cannabis. According to the Criminal Court verdict, Ahmed Ibrahim, 44, of Dilbahaaruge, Velidhoo, was found guilty of trafficking both dimorphine and cannabis under the Narcotics Act.
