Parliament approves Ameeza as new Tax Commissioner

The Parliament, on Wednesday, has approved the appointment of Fathimath Ameeza, the current Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation, as the new Commissioner General of Taxation. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu nominated two candidates for the position: Ameeza and Mohamed Haleem Abdulla, the president of Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives). The nominations were forwarded to Parliament's Economic Affairs Committee
