Ameeza has served as Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation since November 2024 and has been with the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) since its establishment in 2010. During her tenure at the authority, she has also held the position of Assistant Commissioner of Taxation.

The position of Commissioner General of Taxation became vacant following the appointment of former Commissioner Hassan Zareer as Finance Minister.
