Three men have been arrested from N. Landhoo while in possession of drugs during a counter-narcotics operation.
Police said the counter-narcotics operation was carried out by Landhoo Police Station last Monday based on a tip informing of drug possession and usage on the island. According to the Police, a house on Landhoo was searched as part of the operation during which a rubber packet and 11 pieces of paper containing substances suspected to be drugs were discovered.

According to the Police, both individuals have been remanded in custody for 15 days by the court.
Another counter-narcotics operation was carried in Landhoo last Saturday. The Police said the operation was prompted by a tip to Counter-Narcotics Intelligence informing of an attempt to smuggle drugs into Landhoo from a ferry on route to the island.
The man arrested in this operation has been identified as Ahmed Abaan Ali, 20, Gaafila, S. Hithadhoo. The Police said they discovered a juice petty bag and a film roll case containing substances suspected to be drugs on Abaan when he was stopped and searched.
Abaan has been remanded in custody for five days by the court, added the Police.
Both cases are under further investigation by the authority.
