Woman injured in Gan motorcycle crash dies

A woman who sustained injuries in a road accident in L. Gan back in July died on Thursday, while under treatment in a hospital in Male’ City.

The accident in question took place in Gan at around 09:12 am on July 6, when a motorcycle driving from Fonadhoo to Gan crashed into a streetlight.

The accident resulted in injuries to two women on the motorcycle. They were initially treated at the Gan Regional Hospital, before one of then was transferred to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’.

A spokesperson from IGMH told Sun the woman died on Thursday.

The spokesperson identified the patient as a woman from K. Guraidhoo.

However, any further details are unclear at this point.
