President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Ahmed, on Monday, has concluded their official visit to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj pilgrimage.
According to the President’s Office, the first couple were seen off at the airport by the Governor of Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi Al Saud.

The first couple traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj pilgrimage at the invitation of Saudi government on May 31st. They were accompanied by a high-level delegation from the Maldivian government.
During the visit, President Muizzu met with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfig F. Al-Rabiah.
A total of 1,000 Maldivians traveled to Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrimage this year. They will begin returning to the Maldives starting Friday.
