The Parliament on Monday approved the four Maldivian ambassadors nominated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for dual roles as non-residential ambassadors to five countries.
The President Muizzu submitted letters to the Parliament seeking approval for the ambassadors earlier this month.
He asked approval to appoint:
All four received parliamentary approval for their new roles on Monday afternoon. As such, Shabeena received 47 votes, Geela received 48, Iruthisham 45, and Luveiz 48.
The votes were unanimous.
